SCEE Reveals Savage Moon For PS3
Heavy Rain may have stolen the show during Sony's press conference yesterday in Leipzig, but another PlayStation 3 exclusive has stealthily crept up on us; it was just freshly revealed at the official PlayStation UK site.
It's called Savage Moon. FluffyLogic is handling the development duties and this unique title will drop some time this November as a digital download from the PlayStation Store. It seems that you will be placed in charge of defending a "remote off-world mining facility," which is under constant attack by loathsome "space bugs." But instead of wandering around with a bunch of guns, you will strategically place mounted guns in order to repel each and every attack. We'll get everything from rapid-fire machine guns to some insane thing called the Chaos Tower as part of our arsenal, and it'll be all about position and timing. You'll even be able to upgrade your weapons "to increase their size and firepower," and further research more technology to help you in your quest. This sounds like it could be a very entertaining action/strategy title, and another good one for the Store.
We'll let you know when they solidify an exact release date and pricing, although we expect the game to fall in right around the $10 mark. More on Savage Moon as it becomes available.
