PS3 News: Eternal Sonata Pre-Order Bonus Disc - PS3 News

Eternal Sonata Pre-Order Bonus Disc

It seems we're always talking about the lack of RPGs for the PlayStation 3, but here's some news on a promising one (even though it already came out for the Xbox 360): Eternal Sonata, also known as Trusty Bell in Japan.

The long-awaited PlayStation 3 version will finally release in North America on September 18, and as a little bonus, Namco Bandai says we'll be receiving a special "Navigation Disc." All you have to do is pre-order the game and you will get that nifty extra, which features the following, according to Andriasang.com:

  • Aya Hirano (voice actress for the Polka character) Interview
  • Beat's Treasure Picture Hall
  • Audio Commentary

Essentially, it's like most any other bonus disc you get upon pre-ordering a game these days; some extra content designed specifically for JRPG fans and a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff. But at the very least, we know a solid RPG is headed to the PS3 in less than one month's time, so finally, RPG fans will have a decision to make: do I buy Eternal Sonata for the PS3 or Infinite Undiscovery for the Xbox 360? Or both? It's just good to know the PS3 is in that discussion somewhere.

Well, it's about damn time! I think I'd have to get both. As much as I cant stand the 360, it looks like I'll have no choice. I wont be gaming online with it though.

Ben,
As far as I can tell from this is just the Japanese release date. Will this be release in all regions on the same day on the PS3?

Sorry, it's the only date I can find. I'm HOPING it comes out around that same time for North America and Europe, but it may just be "Q4 2008" for regions outside Japan.

I have an October 21 release date for US. So I'll guess Tales of Vesperia, THEN Infinite Discovery, THEN Eternal Sonata to answer your questen Ben! Maybe throw in a little Disgaea 3 in there too.
