PS3 Wireless Keypad On Amazon

Ever since the nifty new wireless keypad for the PlayStation 3 was unveiled at the Leipzig Games Convention last week, many gamers have been waiting for North American release information. Well, thanks to Amazon, it seems we have it.

As you can see by this recent listing, the new wireless keypad is slated to ship on November 30 with a suggested retail price tag of $49.99. This Bluetooth device snaps securely into the front of your Sixaxis or Dual Shock 3 controller, and it even features a couple important shortcut buttons and a great touch pad option. If you're online a lot, you may want to consider a purchase. This is certainly more compact and maneuverable than a standard USB keyboard, and if you don't use one, you're stuck with the relatively slow and cumbersome on-screen keyboard. The wireless keypad should streamline the entire process, thereby making your multiplayer communication that much faster. Some may consider $49.99 to be a relatively steep price, but remember, this is a fairly diverse peripheral.

So if you want to pick it up, you can place a pre-order with Amazon right now, or you can simply wait until December 1 to check your local game store. At the very least, the keypad will be on shelves during the holiday season, and that's a big bonus.

they do but its kinda bulky. its on the bottom part of the controller vs the top that the PS3 has. I think the PS3...well anything Sony makes compared to M$ always looks sexier.

The Wireless Keypad is a Bluetooth device that can not only be used with the PS3 system but with any other Bluetooth enabled device that has Keyboard functionality. You will be able to use it with your smart phones and other portable devices that are equipped with Bluetooth. it looks nice, a little bulky though. And what's up with that long thing on top? lol. I don't know but a keypad sold for the same price as a controller? Not cost effective that's for sure. And the Sony name is upside down, unless that's how the whole thing works... upside down! LOL

Ummm...the long thing is at the bottom ::giggidy:: lol I think everyone is looking at it upside for some reason. So the Sony is there correctly and it attaches on the top of the controller vs the bottom

Yea everyone seems to be looking at it upside down , just imagine that long bar above sony being the space bar and you'll see it's right side up. Also pay attention to the placement of the home, start and select buttons. I think madcatz already had a ps3 keypad for a while now. I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than this one too.

Guys! Click on the picture and look at it close up. You'll notice that not only the word Sony is upsidedown, but every letter, and the PS button, and the start and select buttons... ;)
