PSXE Spotlight: Prince Of Persia
Welcome to the first of a series we're calling the "PSX Extreme Spotlight," where we simply turn your attention towards an upcoming title that has caught our attention. These will pop up whenever the inspiration strikes so don't expect a set schedule...really, what's the point of that?
Anyway, our first Spotlight game is Ubisoft's next-gen Prince of Persia, which is shaping up very nicely. Every time we see more of this game, we become more and more excited, and more and more convinced that this one will be a definite winner. Die-hard fans of the titles that arrived last generation may not like the new look or style, but it's guaranteed to appeal to a wide variety of action aficionados. With everything from a streamlined gameplay structure that focuses on speed and dexterity rather than timing and contemplation, to one-on-one boss-like combat scenarios, PoP is a looker. We've been gathering up information and details for several months now, and there has never been a time when we were disappointed in what we unearthed. Your partner in crime, Elika, will be a major part of this cooperative-based adventure, and at first, we didn't like the idea. But now that we've seen how it will work, we're 100% psyched once again.
The game still has a rather vague "Q4 2008" release estimate, but regardless of when it arrives, we'll be expecting nothing but excellence from Ubisoft. It'd be a mistake to overlook this one, fellow action fans. And now, we point you towards our PoP-related content:
