Life With PlayStation Update By SCEA
Thanks to an update by Noam Rimon, SCEA Sr. Development Manager, over at the official PlayStation blog, we now have "okay and good news" regarding the upcoming application Life with PlayStation.
First of all, Rimon says they're "still pushing some paperwork" so we're going to have to wait a bit longer for it to arrive. We've seen many questions concerning the eventual launch of Life, and that's the only answer you're going to get. But the good news is that it supposedly looks great, and remember, this will be an absolutely free service that can be accessed easily via the XMB. If you're not familiar yet, Life with PlayStation will "feed live content to your PS3 with updates on news and weather on a visually stunning and interactive global map." So essentially, you can use it to check the weather anywhere in the world, or you can check out the most important global news on a daily basis.
Lastly, Rimon has confirmed that this application will also implement the popular Folding@Home project. This means that while you're checking out Life, you'll automatically be "helping Stanford researchers cure diseases like Alzheimer's and various types of cancer." Obviously, we assume you actually have to have Folding installed on your PS3 for this to happen, but you get the gist. So that's the Life with PlayStation update. :)

Nice analogy Tatsujin, but as we all know, sometimes Japan likes to dangle that cookie in front of our noses and tease us with it ;)

I loce Sony and my PS3, but for once, please deliver on time your promises, if Sony keeps with their mouths shut and only deliver news when the times are indeed accurate, this would be much better
