Lumines Confirmed For PSN?
It was one of the first top-notch puzzlers for the PSP; it was so good, in fact, that it raked in several Game of the Year genre awards from various gaming publications. Now, as a puzzler, it should make for the perfect addition to the PlayStation Store and Network.
As evidenced by this 1Up link, it seems obvious that Lumines will soon be making its way to the PSN. Those who missed out on the flashy puzzler during the early days of the PSP will have a chance to download this new version that features "a brand new mode and new skins." The goal of the game? Simple: link like-colored blocks together to clear the screen. It's similar to Tetris but instead of shape, the driving factor is color...so if you suffer from color-blindness, perhaps you should stick with Echochrome. Everyone loved this game when it released back in March of 2005, and with its highly addictive cache and pick-up-and-play accessibility, it wouldn't be surprising to find Lumines on the Store very soon. That listing says it will arrive on October 15, which isn't that far off.
Perhaps at some point here, Q Entertainment will step up and make the official announcement. Then again, it could just be one of those unheralded things; Lumines might quietly come to the PSN without any fanfare whatsoever. Well, besides this article.
