Confrontation Beta Kicks Off Today
Those of you all amped up for the SOCOM: Confrontation beta were probably disappointed to learn that it had been delayed past its expected start date of September 1. However, the team now says they've worked out all the kinks, and things are all set to kick off today.
According to the game's official site, they "apologize to everyone for the inconvenience" of the delay, but the action goes live today in North America for PlayStation 3 owners who have already pre-ordered the game at GameStop. If you've already done that, you have the proper instructions for getting into this public beta, and it's really quite a simple procedure. At around 10 a.m. PT, "e-mails containing the SOCOM: Confrontation Public Beta PSN codes will start going out in bursts." For all the relevant information concerning the beta testing, you can head on over to the Confrontation website and read through the available information. They've got you covered on just about all fronts, so as of today, your special pre-launch testing time with the promising multiplayer title will begin.
SOCOM: Confrontation should arrive on October 14, and you can pick it up with the very sweet PlayStation Bluetooth headset for the price of $59.99. If you want more on that headset, check out the "behind the scenes" details that SCEA just revealed.
