Pacific Rift Demo Confirmed, "Lucky Few" Get It This Week?
October seems to be loaded with borderline blockbusters; they may not carry titles like Resistance, but they're gonna be pretty damn popular nonetheless. One of these games is the sequel to last year's solid off-road racer, MotorStorm.
It's called MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, it's scheduled to arrive on October 7, and it's not surprising to learn that a playable demo will hit the PlayStation Store about a week before the game releases. However, according to ThreeSpeech, a few very lucky users will be able to play this promising racer well before that. It seems that several PS3 users will be selected "at random," and they will receive a special e-mail with a voucher code to download the demo this Thursday. Everyone else will get a shot at it "next month," of course, but this VIP-like e-mail allows players to go eyes-on and hands-on before most other PS3 owners, so...you should feel all sorts of special if you get picked. No, really. This is nothing more than a rumor at this point in time, and we're wondering if the selection process will truly be random, but it's something to hope for this week.
Perhaps the official PlayStation blog will confirm what the semi-official PlayStation blog has to say, and we'll be set to go. If that happens, you should start checking your inboxes to see if you've been chosen to play MotorStorm: Pacific Rift before the vast majority of gamers out there.
