Four-Player Co-Op Campaign Confirmed For Killzone 2?
Earlier, we learned that Guerilla would release a patch soon after Killzone 2 hit store shelves, and it wouldn't be your typical, run-of-the-mill stability patch. It would bring co-op campaign gameplay with it (apparently, the game doesn't ship with this feature), and that was great news for all. But we kept seeing the same question: is it two-player or four-player?
Well, it seems that question has just been answered, provided the information is accurate. As PSU points out, PlayStation World UK editor Ian Dean just recently did a hands-on preview of the hotly anticipated shooter, and he essentially confirmed four-player co-op: "And then theres the four-player co-op campaign to look forward to. Now that really could be something special," said Dean in the preview. Of course, we've seen incorrect details in previews before - remember the June 2008 typo in a recent Mirror's Edge preview? - but considering this was a hands-on piece, we're assuming Dean knows what he's talking about. Killzone 2 is slated for a February 2009 release, and eager beavers can get their hands on it a little earlier with the multiplayer beta test set for later this year. We're still waiting for more news on that, by the way.
Anyway, until Sony or Guerilla con confirm this four-player co-op mode, we'll just call it a probable rumor for now. We'd also like to know exactly when that patch will drop after the game releases; it may only be a matter of days. But if that's the case, why not just include it on the disc...? We have questions, and they will be answered in time. Killzone 2 = first huge blockbuster of 2009!

Afrika was released in japan, (I have no idea when) and managed to claw it's way up the the number 2 spot on the japanese sales charts! It was runner up to a DS title; "Rythym Tengoku Gold. Who woulda thought a animal photography based game would sell 38,000 copies in japan alone?
I think it looks like a pretty game. Saw some vids on youtube... Not sure if i'd buy it though...

Am I the only one that sees the shift in the 7th generation of consoles. Last year Sony PS2 started a head start by 1 year and went on to become the most successful console of all time. While the Microsoft XBOX was just...... a disappointment. Well now in this generation the tables have turned. XBOX 360 had a year head start and is successful *at least it was*. And now the Sony PS3 had a rough beginning. The PS2 had the software and many exclusives while XBOX had the hardware. The XBOX 360 has the software and exclusives *even though Microsoft paid for many games* while the PS3 has the hardware *even though they are now getting the software*.
