Official In-Game SackBoy Costume Contest For LittleBigPlanet
One of the primary appeals of LittleBigPlanet will be its impressive level of user customization, and Media Molecule wants you thinking along those imaginative lines before the game even launches.
The developers have announced the first official in-game SackBoy costume contest, and it's exactly what it sounds like. After entering, you can create a SackBoy or SackGirl and submit it to Media Molecule; the winner will have his or her own creation show up as free downloadable content at some point in the near future. This way, everyone can check out your design genius! You simply have to be 13 years of age or older, follow the instructions carefully, and you just have to realize that any blatantly offensive SackBoy creations will be tossed out immediately. All you really need is an image editor of some kind, like Paint or PhotoShop, and provided you use only JPEGs, stay away from licensed material (this is your own design), and submit only one entry, you're good to go. We know y'all have plenty of great ideas for making a cool-looking SackBoy, and we assume this is going to be a very popular contest. Just remember, you need to have your entry in by September 30, or it don't count!
Sony did something like this before, when users were able to create their own creature for Folklore. Many gamer designs ended up in that game, so it's no surprise to see such a contest for LittleBigPlanet. We're gearing up for the October launch; LBP is gonna be gigantic. And good luck to all contest participants!

I hope Sony adds more licensed sack boys and girls, it would be great for Hollywood movies and games and stuff, good PR. Who wouldn't want a batman or (insert favorite movie character) sack boy.
