Resistance 2 Beta Applications Ready
We're still slogging our way through the whole GameStop/Resistance 2 beta fiasco - the retailer still seems unsure of the process - but at the very least, we do know the official application process has begun.
Instead of pre-ordering, you can head over to BetaMyResistance.net and apply for a position in the upcoming beta test, which kicks off later this month. The typical rules apply; you need a PlayStation 3 with an Internet connection, you need to have a Network account, and of course, you need to be 18 years of age or older. You will be notified via e-mail if you've been accepted into the beta, and Insomniac reminds you that "space is limited," so you had best get a move on. Remember, this multiplayer beta is going to be the exact opposite of "barebones;" we'll be able to sample the 8-player co-op mode along with the highly anticipated 60-player multiplayer scenarios! It takes no time and effort at all to apply for the beta, so unless you've already pre-ordered the game, there's no excuse to ignore this opportunity. Well, unless you don't like great games, or something.
As for GameStop, we've heard that those who have pre-ordered Resistance 2 online have indeed received their beta code via e-mail. However, the brick and mortar stores still seem out of the loop, so we'll have to hope they can figure it out...fast.
