MotorStorm: Pacific Rift Hurtles Into Stores On October 28
The original MotorStorm was one of the best PlayStation 3 titles available early in the system's lifespan, and this year, the sequel is primed to up the ante. Oh, and by the way: it's done.
According to the most recent post by SCEA Product Marketing Specialist David Bull over at the official PlayStation blog, the official release date and U.S. box art (pictured here) has been revealed. You'll be able to speed your way to more dust-laden, crash-crazy victories in MotorStorm: Pacific Rift on October 28. This time, there are more tracks and vehicles - Monster Truck, baby! - plus the new addition of 4-player split-screen mode. Trophy support will also be included, and if you reserve your copy today at GameStop, you will receive the demo we've heard so much about. It should be coming to the PlayStation Store at some point, too, but pre-order Pacific Rift today and you can play it today! Of course, this is only if GameStop is actually aware of the promotion; they still seem more than a little dense when it comes to the Resistance 2 beta pre-order program. Bull does say more MotorStorm pre-order programs will be revealed in the coming weeks.
But anyway, the 28th of October is the day, and it's guaranteed to be a major holiday title for racing fans everywhere. This is the kind of entertainment that casts a wide net over a large demographic; who doesn't have at least a little bit of fun with games like this? Be honest, now. We all do, to some extent.
