Wipeout HD Launches This Month?
Wipeout HD is certainly one of the more anticipated titles of 2008, but throughout the year, the futuristic racing game has run into a series of problems. We've been hoping Sony can resolve them ASAP, and now, it seems as if they have.
Nothing is entirely confirmed just yet, but we have heard from multiple sources that Wipeout HD may be coming soon...and perhaps much sooner than expected after the last delay announcement. According to DPadMagazine, one Sony representative claims the game will cost £11.99 when it finally hits the PlayStation Store in the UK later this month. That's right, September. On a similar note, we've heard that certain Sony insiders are actually playing the game right now, and we've seen several e-mails to that effect already. In fact, DPad claims they're "playing through the review build right now," so if all this rings true, Wipeout HD could be a huge downloadable title this month. Clearly, we're going to want to hear something official from Sony before we can make any concrete announcement, but for now, all signs are pointing in one direction...
The game was put on hold after supposedly failing epilepsy testing, and while we still have no idea how one would fix something like that, this project is apparently back on track. We'll let you know as soon as we have something a little more reliable, and if the aforementioned price and estimated release date for the UK is similar (or identical) to North America.

I believe regarding the epilepsy testing thing that they just had to tone down some of the blinking colors in parts. It seems to me when looking at the newest video of footage and older video(s) that the track and objects alongside the track don't have as much bright pulsing colors in the newest video. Or is it just me?
