SOCOM: Confrontation Team Working To Deliver Another Patch

As most of you beta testers have probably already realized, the previously issued 1.10 update patch didn't do much to help the reliability and stability of the experience. However, the team is aware of the ongoing issues and are currently working on another patch to insure that everything progresses smoothly.

According to GamersPlatform, the SOCOM guys know all about the frustration many testers have experienced thus far, and the new patch should erase most - if not all - of the current problems. Here's what they're addressing right now:

  • Abnormally long network synchronization issues when some users in a game have a poor network connection. This issue causes 4-7 minute (or longer) load times when late joining a game.
  • An issue where respawn game late joiners get stuck in spectator mode and can't respawn into the game.
  • Remove the latency detection network test that is causing some users with poor network connections to receive the network latency icon (a red X).

We still don't know when they might release this patch, but we guarantee that beta testers are anxiously awaiting its arrival. Early feedback from those testers is positive, although the comments oftentimes sound like this: "It's great...when it works." Obviously, the SOCOM team wants to erase the second part of that sentiment, and we hope they can do so very soon.

thats fair enough, this is the whole idea od a beta, if everything worked perfectly, id ask the question why isnt it released then?? sounds like the game is good, they just need to do a few tweaks to it and then where set to rock n roll, cant wait for this game, and to get the cool headset too, tho i did want to download this game, but i want the headset so i'l be buying this game on blu ray. unless someonebody wants it on blu ray and wants to sell me the offical headset?? lol.

Actually, it's great...when it works.

I'm confident that the final product will be a AAA title for the PS and will deliver a great online experience for everybody.
