SOCOM: Confrontation Team Working To Deliver Another Patch
As most of you beta testers have probably already realized, the previously issued 1.10 update patch didn't do much to help the reliability and stability of the experience. However, the team is aware of the ongoing issues and are currently working on another patch to insure that everything progresses smoothly.
According to GamersPlatform, the SOCOM guys know all about the frustration many testers have experienced thus far, and the new patch should erase most - if not all - of the current problems. Here's what they're addressing right now:
- Abnormally long network synchronization issues when some users in a game have a poor network connection. This issue causes 4-7 minute (or longer) load times when late joining a game.
- An issue where respawn game late joiners get stuck in spectator mode and can't respawn into the game.
- Remove the latency detection network test that is causing some users with poor network connections to receive the network latency icon (a red X).
We still don't know when they might release this patch, but we guarantee that beta testers are anxiously awaiting its arrival. Early feedback from those testers is positive, although the comments oftentimes sound like this: "It's great...when it works." Obviously, the SOCOM team wants to erase the second part of that sentiment, and we hope they can do so very soon.
