Bikes Roll Into Paradise This Week
You knew they were coming, but you didn't know exactly when until now.
Developer Criterion Games has officially announced that its next free update - yup, the one that includes motorcycles - will come to the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace this Thursday, September 18. They renamed it the "Bikes Pack" rather than the formerly titled Davis update, and it adds two motorcycles, the option of a male or female rider, day/night events, license progression for the new vehicles, changing weather conditions and 70 new Freeburn challenges. How's that for an update that's free? Criterion clearly wants you to keep playing Paradise; they're also planning to bring the full game, loaded with all the current updates, to the PSN later this year. It'll come for half the original price ($29.99), and it could start a new trend of originally Blu-Ray-format games going digital at some point down the road... As for more content, the team has actually been considering airplanes, although we haven't the slightest idea how that might work.
So if you're a racing fan, you probably already own this top-notch arcade racer, and this Bikes Pack is a definite must. And because it's free, there's not a darn thing stopping you, right?
