Free Radical: Which Platform Should Get TimeSplitters 4?
In some ways, we applaud the idea of Free Radical asking the gaming public their opinion on the issue, but in other ways...won't this just reflect the huge number of Wii users out there, thereby making the results easily predictable?
Free Radical has posted up an interesting poll at their official website, and as you can see, it asks you a very simple question. Which console would most want to play TimeSplitters 4 on? As of right now, the Wii leads by a significant amount with 45% of the votes, with the PlayStation 3 in second at 25%, the Xbox 360 in third at 21%, and the PC bringing up the rear at 4%. Now, we refuse to believe that all the FPS fans out there want to play TimeSplitters 4 on the Wii, as that would essentially sacrifice any and all chance at a supremely technically accomplished title. Of course, after the flop that was Haze, perhaps some gamers don't care so much, anymore. Even so, the series in question has a large following of fans, and they've been waiting for another true-blue sequel for quite a long time. Wouldn't it make the most sense to develop it for the most powerful consoles? We're not being biased, but we are talking about a FPS here, correct?
Anyway, place your vote - if you think it'll make any difference - and we'll see how Free Radical processes the results. Even though they kinda screwed up Haze, they should be able to produce another high-quality entry in the critically acclaimed TimeSplitters series.
