White Knight Chronicles Is Level 5's "Largest Project To Date"
As we roll on into the holiday season, RPG fans are centering much of their attention on Level 5's promising project, White Knight Chronicles. Previously confirmed as having a December 25 release date - and clarified once again in big bold print at the official Japanese PlayStation site - role-playing aficionados can barely contain their excitement. And now, more developments-
The official site for the game (entirely in Japanese, of course) has been updated with a letter from Hino Akihiro, Level 5 President. Rather than break it down and tell you about it in our own words, we'll let Akihiro-san do the honors. This translation comes courtesy of a NeoGAF forum member:
"Everyone, thank you for your patience.
It's been a while, but we will be bringing you a lot of new information rapidly, so please check back frequently.
Now, this mega epic RPG is LEVEL5's largest project to date. We went through a lot of hardships to bring the game to this point, but the effort was worth it, and is something we can present with much confidence, as we bring the development to its conclusion. In this orthodox fantasy world, in addition to the satisfaction of controlling a giant character, we have a transforming hero (lol) which has allowed us to create a world where kids now and kids of yester-year can get excited about.
There is a feature that we haven't told anyone about which we are preparing. We will announce this at TGS 2008 in October so please look forward to it!"
We haven't the slightest idea what this new feature might be, but at the very least, we know we'll have more news next month at the Tokyo Game Show. And of course, all gamers in North America and Europe will be awaiting the announcement of a release date, which we all hope isn't far behind the December 25 Japanese launch. We're been starting to see new details almost every week now, and as Akihiro says in the letter, "a lot of new information" will be coming "rapidly." Well, good enough for us!

Scare you played FF XII? How was it man? I never played that game as much, the main character seriously sucked =( ... heh, and I hated the "if you open the chest, you get 50/50 of either gil or item, and if it is an item then its 50/50 between those two items ... " thats a nightmare ...

Also Gameinformer.com has a better review(more in depth and clearer).
As far as I go, I'll say this it's one of the best FFs I've played, and I've been playng FFs since FFVII.
There's really a lot of hidden plots to FFXII, not your typical FF either. If you're looking for the same hero types and the same "love endings" you're looking at the wrong game.
It's a true adventure of war, deceit, betrayal, redemption, etc.
Reminds me of FFVI
Anyway this game reminds me a lot of FFXII at the moment in terms of looks and how the story seems to be shaping up. A joining a forces if you will.
