Europe Gets Bioshock PS3 Earlier
As most of you already know, October is shaping up to be downright huge in terms of next-gen releases. LittleBigPlanet may lead the way, but we're also getting Far Cry 2, Dead Space, and the highly anticipated PlayStation 3 version of Bioshock. And hey, you know how we tend to have crappy news for European gamers when it comes to certain big releases...?
Well, not this time. According to Euro gaming site GameRush, the title will release a little earlier in the European regions; the U.S. gets it on October 21 and our buddies across the pond will get it four days earlier on October 17. You thought we were going to tell you about a delay, didn't you? Nah, 2K Games wouldn't do that to you, although we have no idea why the game is releasing earlier in Europe... No matter, Bioshock remains one of the best games of the generation, and we can guarantee it's going to be fantastic. We've heard of one early review - a perfect 5/5 from the Official PlayStation Magazine - but you won't see any others until the review embargo is lifted next week. And when it is, you won't have much longer to wait for our review, which - like all our reviews - should assist you in making the ultimate purchase decision. Will it be worth the price of admission?
Chances are, if you haven't played it already, the answer to that question is a resounding "yes." But yeah, this time, European gamers get the jump on North America, so savor the flavor while you can, gents. ;)

The earlier the better for with this game as far as I'm concerned.
Release date differences would be reduced if we had a global day of release rather than Friday in Europe and Tuesday in the US. I prefer Friday as you then run into the weekend wheras getting the game on Tuesday means you have to suffer through 3 days of work before you get to play.

Ah, makes no difference to me. People keep telling me that I'll never want to play another game again once I've played Bioshock. Seems a little like just deciding to induce a controlled substance of some sort...
I'll stick to my favorite games, even if none of the foreseeable triple-a titles look like my thing, spare the largely anticipated WKC. I hope its as huginormous as it's slated to be, cuz its gonna need to tide me over for a LONG time.
