WKC: First RPG On The Market To Boast Full 1080p HD
We know a lot of our readers are excited about White Knight Chronicles, and due to that feedback, the PlayStation 3 exclusive RPG sits right near the top of our priority list when we go hunting for news. This time, we've uncovered more details for Level 5's promising project, and it comes well before the Tokyo Game Show next month.
The game was recently featured in Japanese publication Dengeki, and thanks to some translation and a posting in the NeoGAF forums, a few new tidbits of information from that article are in. First of all, it seems the new images - which have yet to hit the Internet - are downright amazing, and the magazine says their quality is "approaching that of Final Fantasy." They also say, and hold on to your hats, HDTV owners, that White Knight Chronicles will be the very first role-playing title on the market to natively support full 1080p resolution! If that isn't good news, nothing is. As for the storyline, it seems we should expect something similar to the plots found in the esteemed Monster Hunter franchise, and the structure (pacing, characterization, etc.) shouldn't be unfamiliar to those who have enjoyed the Dragon Quest series in the past. If you're not familiar with either...well, guess you have no frame of reference. Sorry.
Anyway, everything we hear concerning WKC these days is encouraging, and with this update, we can't wait to get a closer look at this 1080p HD RPG adventure. Stay tuned for more.
