SCEA Provides LittleBigPlanet Beta U.S. Invite Update

We've already heard about the round of European beta invites sent out today, but we didn't have any details concerning North America...until now.

According to a post by an SCE developer in the official SCEA forums, more codes will be available through a certain website today, but he's "unable to say which one." Eurogamer handed out 5,800 beta keys yesterday and that trend is going to continue; several more gaming websites will hand out "thousands of codes in the next 5 days." E-mail invitations are also being sent out today, and unless you get one of those, or nab the keys handed out by those sites, you won't get in. Lastly, he says to keep a close eye on the LittleBigPlanet News Site; more information will be available there tomorrow. These are all the details we've been able to dig up at this time, so all those interested in the LBP beta had best be paying attention to their inboxes today. Also, as soon as we find out which websites are giving out the beta codes, we'll be sure to tell you. Remember how fast they went at Eurogamer...?

The beta will run through October 12, and the final game will launch on October 21. LittleBigPlanet is certainly one of the most original games we've seen in quite a long time, and you can be sure it's high on our priority list.
