No Collector's Edition For Call Of Duty: World At War PS3?

These days, it seems like every big game release comes with a special Collector's or Limited Edition of some kind. Obviously, Treyarch is well aware of that trend and isn't about to let the opportunity slide for Call of Duty: World at War.  At least, so far as Xbox 360 and PC users are concerned.

According to D-Pad Magazine, the details are in for this very cool special deluxe set; when the game releases on November 14, the die-hard fans of this long-running franchise might want to drop the cash for this bad boy. It will feature a metal storage tin (big enough to hold several games, apparently, so a bunch of CoD titles can fit), plus a branded steel canteen. As for digital content, you can expect the benefit of the FG 42 Machine Gun, a VIP status tag for the online multiplayer mode, and lastly, access to an exclusive "double experience week." But there's a small problem- people have only been able to find pics of the Collector's Edition for the Xbox 360 and PC versions...no evidence of one for the PS3 version. Now, we saw this same issue when EA outlined their Dead Space Collector's Edition yesterday, which is evidently exclusive to the Xbox 360 version. Are PS3 owners left out in the cold when it comes to all this special extra stuff? Are they saying we don't want Collector's Editions?

We're hoping the Call of Duty: World at War Collector's set will come to the PS3, but at this point, it seems we can't confirm it. This isn't what owners of Sony's next-gen machine wanted to hear, but we'll keep an eye on things. Come on, Activision, don't forget us!

This is just stupid. Aren't the developers working to get our money Why do they narrow the options? And why the keep the love for MS?

This is amazing. But after all I'm gonna be very busy playing S:C, R2 y LBP to even care about the regular edition of CODWAW

No matter, never buying another CoD game again. They can keep their garbage. I'm with Pavlovic, R2, Socom and LBP (not to mention KZ2), are far more important.

................... That's just lame. I'm gonna re-think my choice of purchasing this game if they don't release a special edition. I may not even buy it. It doesn't seem like they support PS3 WHAT-SO-EVER.

Well, I will definitely by purchasing CODV (WaW) - I don't care much for Special Editions, I will also purchase KZ2. Maybe a racing game, Ferrari Challenge or GT5. Depends on the reviews, but I am not rushing onto anything at the moment. Got my hands full with WarHawk, CoDIV, Questy For Booty etc etc... enough to get on with for now!

even after Sony proving that their system is a force to be reckoned with developers still don't act as if they have any faith in it or Sony. why wont developers get on board and support the ps3?

Doesn't bother me. CoD games are not worthy enough for purchasing a collector's edition package. It's just not that big of a game for me. Even with CoD6, with IW working on it, would not be worthy enough for me to purchase a LE/SE package. I'll still buy the game, just not the xtras. This is still crap tho if this is true, for those who want it at least.

I did like the GTA SE package, but that's because I liked the previous installments. Yeah most SE packages are kind of a waste in a lot of respects, at least to me, but it's more for the fun of it than actually getting what's inside.

Nah, They wouldn't do that. They make too much money being multi platform to jus make for MS. They almost like MS with liking money so much
