X-Play Giving Out 2,000 LBP Beta Keys
LittleBigPlanetAt this point, is there a PlayStation 3 owner out there who doesn't want to be in the closed LittleBigPlanet beta? ...anybody? Nah, you all want in, we know.
Eurogamer handed out 5,800 keys a few days ago (and almost crashed their whole site in the process), and GameSpot may still be handing them out today. They started yesterday at 7 p.m., but if you've missed your chance there, tune into X-Play on Tuesday, September 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. As part of their "World Premiere Tuesdays," Adam Sessler and Co. travel to Media Molecule's headquarters in Europe to check things out first-hand. They'll have all kinds of exclusive behind-the-scenes content and never-before-scene gameplay footage, and they'll also give you a quick tutorial concerning level creation in the game. But perhaps most enticing of all, X-Play will be handing out 2,000 beta keys for that beta! They will also reveal a brand new SackBoy that will launch with the game on October 21, but there are plenty of gamers out there who want to test this one out next week. You'll have to watch X-Play on Tuesday night to find out how to get your code, though, so don't miss it!
We just have one question: isn't the beta supposed to start on Monday, September 29? So, won't anyone getting a key on Tuesday night be late to the party? "how about xplay ? they're always quick to make negative remarks about ps3 games (especially Morgan ) ,all multiplatform titles are reviewed on the 360.What's next? gamestop will get beta codes?"
I'll admit I'm a fan of X-Play. And to be fair, both Adam and Morgan loved MGS4 and both are loving LBP right now.
But, yeah, I, too, have a problem with thier multiplat reviews being done almost exclusively for the 360. No only that, but it seems that most of the time that they don't even mention there is a PS3 version in the on-screen graphics at the begining of the review; and if they do, when they do the review wrap up at the end of the show it seems like they only have the 360 logo next to the game, not 360/PS3 or "Multiplat." It's almost like whomever does the screen graphics doesn't even want to mention the PS3.
With one exception, I've noticed sometimes when a multiplat game is reviewed poorly they'll run the PS3 logo on screen.
