First Round Of Killzone 2 Beta Invites Sent To European Gamers?
Hey! Since when did Europe become the toast of the town in the video game industry? At least so far as beta testing is concerned, anyway.
The first to get their grubby little hands on PlayStation Home, it seems our buddies across the pond are getting more preferential treatment in regards to the Killzone 2 beta invites. According to poster MagicDude4Eva in the PlayStation 3 South African forums (yeah, we're surprised they have a forum, too), the evidence is clear. "Dear Beta Tester, you have been invited to a beta test for Killzone 2 on PlayStation 3..." Well, damn. After doing some more digging, it appears other PS3 users have this invite tucked away in their inboxes as well, but this seems to be limited to European gamers. Of course, this is hardly official as we haven't heard anything from Guerilla, and it does make some sense, as Guerilla is a European developer. Also, this doesn't mean the beta will be restricted to Europe, nor does it mean European PS3 users will get to play a closed beta before the U.S. It just means they've gotten their invites first, provided all this is accurate.
However, it most certainly does mean one thing: we're going to be keeping a sharp eye out for any new developments concerning the Killzone 2 beta. It's slated to be the third PS3 beta in a row (after LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2) that will bring in many, many eager PS3 owners, so it stays near the top of our priority list. If you have any info on this, don't hesitate to let us know.
