Pre-Order Mirror's Edge, Get Running Bag And Demo
A little while ago, it was erroneously reported that a Mirror's Edge demo would join the onslaught of great PSN content last Thursday. But it was simply a misinterpretation of the facts; you could pre-order the game, but the demo was still a ways off.
Now, "a ways off" appears to translate to November 6. For all the relevant information, check out GameStop's listing for the highly anticipated game, which holds a release date of November 11. They're offering two very cool bonuses if you pre-order the game, and the first is that nifty running bag: it's the same bag Faith and other Runners carry in the game, and it has seven compartments and enough room to transport your gaming console. Quite the accessory, eh? On top of this, if you scroll down further, you'll see that pre-purchasers will also receive a special code that will allow them to download the demo, which is slated to arrive on November 6. ...now, we have no idea why we need a code - why should this demo be locked? - but they can't be talking about a beta; the demo and release dates are too close together.
We don't have the specific details, but we figure the news is good, and the incentive is high to pre-order Mirror's Edge from GameStop. These bonuses mentioned here apply to both online and in-store pre-orders, too, so do as you wish. We'll let you know when we stumble across more info on that demo, but for now, just know that online customers will receive an e-mail with the necessary code while in-store customers will get a card with the code on it (as they did with the Resistance 2 beta pre-order deal).
