Rumor: PS3 And Wii Preorders At Toys R Us
If you check out scans of Toys "R" Us' "Big Book" and some online employee postings, things are pointing towards a busy weekend. It seems the company is looking to start taking preorders for both the Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 this Sunday, October 29.
It also appears that consumers only need $50 to preorder either system (we needed $100 for a PS3 preorder at EB/GameStop), but Toys "R" Us is adamant that this "preorder" isn't exactly a "preorder" in the most technical definition of the word...basically, even this won't guarantee you a console on launch day.
That "Big Book" comes out on Fridays, so this should be either confirmed or denied by tomorrow. Either way, though, we suggest you start scoping out the nearest Toys "R" Us just in case.
