OPM UK Rumors Abound
Okay, everyone, it's that time again: time to play "truth or bogus." The latest batch of rumors has arrived courtesy of OPM UK, and there are plenty of interesting topics to consider.
First of all, you may remember that a number of projects became casualties of business war when publisher Vivendi went under, and one of them was Tim Schafer's Brutal Legend. Well, now the rumor is that EA has decided to pick up the publishing duties for the game, which isn't implausible. Next up is that the upcoming PS3 firmware update 2.5 will indeed feature the screen-grabbing function everyone has been talking about lately. Third on the list is the resurrection of the Crysis on PS3 rumor; this time, OPM UK says it's most certainly coming, and with all kinds of extra goodies. You know, kinda like a Bioshock deal. As for the rest, we hear that the Rockstar team responsible for the PSP version of The Warriors is working on Max Payne 3, Pandemic's Batman game is officially canceled, and the next Dead Rising will be delivered as episodic content. Of course, PS3 owners are hoping this content comes to the PlayStation Network as well as the Xbox Live Marketplace, but no word on that just yet.
There's a bunch of stuff here, so take from this what you will. In all honesty, a lot of this sounds very possible, and in fact, a few could be proven true within the next month or so. It'd be great to know that Brutal Legend has a home once again!
