Weekly PSN Update Includes Bioshock, Eternal Sonata Demos
It'll be tough to top last week's PlayStation Store update - Wipeout HD, Burnout Paradise, Mega-Man 9, etc. - but this week's content isn't anything to sneeze at.
To celebrate its impending October 21 release, Bioshock now has a playable demo up and ready for sampling, and that's bound to get plenty of attention from PlayStation 3 owners who have never had the pleasure of exploring the intensely atmospheric world of Rapture. In addition, Ubisoft has thrown up a playable demo of Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, one of the more anticipated shooters of the year. This demo will allow you to play through the first mission of the game, where Sgt. Matt Baker and the 101st Airborne Division begin their noble quest. Lastly, all you RPG fans can download a demo for the original and enticing JRPG, Eternal Sonata, while one demo each for NBA 2K9 and Beijing 2008 joins the fun on the Store. Just like last week, there are plenty of new reasons to log on to the Network and peruse its wares. Downloadable trailers are one thing, but to be able to play a bunch of new games? It's one of the biggest benefits of this new generation.
Once you're done trying Bioshock for the first time, we guarantee you'll be rushing to the store on the 21st. Of course, you had better bring some extra cash for all the other games you want! LittleBigPlanet comes out that day, too, remember...
