PS3 News: PS3/PSP Connectivity Has One Big Limitation

PS3/PSP Connectivity Has One Big Limitation

The exciting remote play feature on the PS3 will allow PSP owners to view music, video and audio files stored on the PS3, and even allow access to the PS3's internet browser. But there is a caveat.

Sony revealed today that the remote viewer functionality will not work with copyrighted media...and that, of course, includes DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. If you want to check out any disc-based media and content contained within the PS3, you're going to have to do it the old-fashioned way: via the TV.

Further, this begs the question: will this limitation affect protected music downloadsd stored on the PS3's hard disk? As soon as we lay our hands on the thing, we'll be sure to clarify that little detail for you.
