Full Track List For Saints Row 2

Let's face up to facts: while the immersion, atmosphere, and general hugeness of the city is always enticing in games like Grand Theft Auto, sometimes it's the little additions that make the experience so dang fun. What would GTA be without the radio? Seriously?

Well, even though THQ will be the first to tell you that Saints Row 2 isn't trying to be a GTA ripoff, they're well aware of the radio's importance. The full list of radio stations and songs has been released, and there's a little something for everyone. We may not get the long and amazingly realistic talk shows that we had on the radio in GTAIV, but there's a goodly array of diverse tracks, here. The total list numbers somewhere around 200, and it seems most every musical taste will be satisfied.  From Handel, Mozart, Vivaldi and Bach on Classic 102.4 to Nas, Run DMC, and Young Jeezy on KRhyme 95.4 to Avenged Sevenfold, As I Lay Dying and Lamb of God on Krunch 106.66 (why the extra 6? Know your metal, damnit!), it's all here. It's unlikely you won't find any music on this track list that suits you, and that's most certainly good news. In our estimation, nothing can top our boy Lazlo, but we're not about to complain when facing a great track list like the one we find in Saints Row 2. Let's just hope we're in a vehicle long enough to listen!

The long-anticipated sequel comes out on October 17, a few months after its initial release date. It was delayed for a number of reasons, but it's best to keep something like this as far from GTAIV (which launched in April) as possible. Now that you've had ample time to complete Rockstar's masterpiece, it might be time to move on to another one...maybe that's setting the bar too high, but our expectations are up there.

To be honest all the talky talky on the GTA radio stations bugged the crap out of me. Sometimes they were funny, but mostly I just wanted to listen to some tunes. I don't have a 360 so I never played SR1, but the buzz around this is looking good. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the reviews, can't say for sure if this will hit my list though.

It depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes, I'm just like you; I don't want the talk shows. Just want the music. But other times, they get on a hilarious topic and I just have to listen for a while. LOL

Same here, but I think the talk shows weren't as funny as they were in the first 3 GTAs. Still alright though.

While I'm a big fan of '80s stuff, it wouldn't have fit in the modern radio stations of GTAIV. ;)

I thought Liberty City Rock was a pretty good attempt at 70s and 80s rock.

Everything is cool EXCEPT the Hip-Hop music. The only good track on there was NY State of Mind by Nas. I hate when ignorant (of Hip-Hop culture) people try to throw lame R and B in with Hip-Hop music.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna enjoy SR2 more than GTA4 though.

@WorldEnds - Really? I loved the talk radio stations, they were all hilarious. I listened to them more than the music stations.

true true.. but for me, 80's music has a place in GTA.. unless its set in the 70's ;-)

the big let down for me in GTA4 was the music, ok. so they had a Bob Marley station, that was the most single great thing they ever did imo, but thats all i play.. i want decent Rock, I want POWER BALLADS!!

consider Vice City.. think Phill Colins... think GTA!

GTA for me is about Cheese and Mafia.. Mafia and Cheese and theres no better decade to describe GTA than the 80's.

still, theres always GTA4: Vice city to look forward to eh R*.. hint hint.

roll on the 17th i want to cruise to 'Down Under' ..shoot to 'Take On Me'... get chased by 'Final Countdown' and die by 'Dont You'

being serious though, i do have to ponder that if we took the Bob Marley station out.. who's track list would be better?

Hmmmmm
