USA Today Giving Away 15,000 LittleBigPlanet Beta Keys

LittleBigPlanet is set to take the world by storm on October 21, and it seems as if thousands - no, millions - of gamers are all clamoring for a shot at the beta test.

Over the past few weeks, Sony has handed out beta keys to many different gaming websites, such as Eurogamer, GameSpot, and IGN, and future SackBoy fans were zipping all over the Internet in an attempt to secure one of those valuable codes. But if you haven't managed to snag one yet, your best chance may be here: Sony has given USA Today 15,000 beta keys, and the process is as simple as simple can be. No contests or anything; just send 'em an e-mail, they will respond with a beta key, and you're in. Obviously, there's quite a big article to accompany this announcement as well, but it's nothing you haven't read before if you've been following the LBP saga over the past few months. Essentially, it shows that just about every gaming media outlet on the planet has high expectations for SackBoy and Co., and both Media Molecule and Sony want this game to appeal to everyone. October is loaded with unbelievable software, but nothing is gonna top the little cooperative-based platformer with big aspirations.

We assume this USA Today giveaway is first-come, first-served, so you had best get a move on. But we ran this story as soon as USA Today told us about it, so hopefully, you should be among the first to send 'em an e-mail. Try it out!

Just got my key (finally) from USA Today. It says the beta will end 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 12 though - I wonder if a general demo will be released soon?

I got two!! Used my yahoo and cox adrresses and got a reply to both. Weird thing is that the beta ends Oct 12th?
Now to see if I can trade my spare key to my gamestop connect and get my rb2 early....

1. Open a Master Account on the PLAYSTATION®Network (or use an existing Master Account)

Karneli sorry but still try the usa today thing thats where i got all of them from i was desperate so i put four different email addresses in then put them in again it took about 2 hours for confirmation but before i knew it i had 1 or 2 a piece in my gmail,yahoo mail,aol mail,and hotmail.Good Luck.

I'm still downloading with the code I was lucky enough to get from USA (network is slow today.) But hey CEO, you just made a great point for one of Ben's earlier articles on just why PSXextreme is the best, timely reporting by journalists and great people on the boards. Kudos to the max, had to give you a thumbs up on your original post :)

Well, once again work shoots my dreams down on getting this. Not only, did I NOT get a code from USA Today, even amailing them at like 12pm Eastern, i sure missed out on all the code handouts too.

I want to be clear that I did not sell my additional key. I was not trying to come off as a tool.

Sure, I was hoping he could hook me up with my RB2 disk early, but he couldn't 'cause it is street dated..

This guy is a true gaming fan, has great info, and was nice enough to let me "Borrow" some PS2 games to restore onto my fried hard drive in my fatty PS2 when it died. Yes, I own the games but I gave them to my nephew who lives out of state.

If not for his kindness and drooling over a LBP key, I would have put it out here for y'all. Good luck in getting keys, and CEO, you rock!!
