FIFA 09 Arrives at Stores
European gamers have had their copies for the past week, but now it's time for us Americans to play some virtual footy. EA Sports has shipped FIFA 09 to stores nationwide; so by the time you all read this, your local Best Buy or GameStop's now got their copies. This year's FIFA marks some rather large changes over last year's game by utilizing 500 new animations, and an all new collision detection engine and shielding system.EA remarks that the changes for FIFA 09 are the biggest the series has had in four years, and we're very excited to see the new collision detection system play out. In case you're no familiar with what C.D. is, it's essentially how players react to bumping into each other or objects. If you see a player's hand or leg go through something, that's a clear sign of poor collision detection. Now, players in FIFA 09 will behave as realistically as possible when bumping, shoving, and crashing is involved, claiming "speed, direction and strength determine everything from the severity of the collision to the outcome of possession."
Sounds great, doesn't it? We've played FIFA 09 a few times during this past summer, and we can tell you that the differences are noticeable, and make for a less frustrating experience, especially when you're playing defense. Look for FIFA 09 to arrive on your local store shelves today.

Anyhow I got Fifa 09 for the PS3 and for some reason I am finding it easy on semi pro a level I struggled with last year but this year I am coasting through so either I have become good on it without realising and need to up a level or it has been made slightly easier with this years version. Even my cousin who got it for the 360 said he found it a bit easy too. Anyone else finding it easy ? Anyhow it is a great game all the same and I recommend it to anyone who wants a decent footy (soccer) game.
