EndWar Demo Only Temporarily Exclusive To Xbox 360
It's guaranteed to be a big holiday release, but PlayStation 3 owners were disappointed to learn that Ubisoft may not be releasing a demo for Tom Clancy's EndWar on their system.
Yesterday, several sources reported that a playable demo would only come to the Xbox 360, but as it turns out, that information was inaccurate. According to TheHDRoom, Ubisoft has clarified the situation: while the demo is indeed only on the 360 right now and PS3 owners have to wait, a playable EndWar sampling should be coming to the latter console in due time. This means the demo is temporarily exclusive to the 360, but the bad news is that we have no idea when to expect it on the PS3. The full game is scheduled to hit store shelves on November 4, and the PlayStation Network may not see the demo until the week before launch. This has been a growing concern of PS3 owners in the past year, as some publishers seem to be favoring the Live Marketplace when it comes to playable demos. On the other hand, PSN users can't really complain about some of the great exclusives they've had recently, including the likes of Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty and Wipeout HD.
So we'll let you know when Ubisoft decides to hand over the EndWar playable demo, and in the meantime, if you have access to the 360, you can try it now. It will have to go head-to-head with Resistance 2, but we have every confidence that we'll get another Tom Clancy classic.
