LittleBigPlanet Release Update
By now, most every gamer on earth is well aware of the recent LittleBigPlanet delay - which, by the way, made CNN headlines today - but Sony continues to issue hazy release date expectations for North America and Europe. Those Qur'an expressions in one of the game's background songs have really caused a major fallout, but thankfully, the delays don't appear to be lengthy.
Now, we have the most updated information for you via PS3Fanboy. First of all, the game should still arrive in North America "during the week of October 27," which is next week, and that's not far behind the initial release date of October 21. Yeah, we realize you could've been playing it tomorrow, but you're gonna have to get past that. As for Euro gamers, we had previously heard that LBP wouldn't release until November 14, but SCEE has recently updated that information and said: the highly anticipated title will "start to appear in stores no later than the week commencing Monday 3rd November in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, on a country by country basis." Okay, so that's a two-week delay at the most, and if you look at the positive angle of things, that just gives you more time to play the other great games out there. For example, Dead Space is an instant classic and Bioshock is awesome as expected.
We'll let you know if Sony decides to issue exact release dates for the aforementioned regions but for now, the "week of" estimates will have to do.

First 9/11, then the riots in france, then the bombings in spain, then all the riots over the comics... These people need to learn that their religion is no more or less special than any other, and everyon else needs to act that way. Noone pulled RFOM because of the bombed churches, did they?

Dont go right out and put 9-11 on that list. We as free thinking individuals should never rule out the False Flag possibilities. Many people believe that to be an inside job. Smart people.
Religion is used by its leaders as a tool of war. What about the Crusades and the Inquisitions? That lets not forget that.
Anyways any word on SOCOM Ill be playin that while waitin on my LBP!

The idea of corporate accountability is almost as rare as personal responsibility in this day and age. It's refreshing to see someone giving a damn about how their product affects people.

I wonder if I should see if anyone wants to pay more for the "uncensored" version on eBay? ;-)

I dont care that the game was delayed, i care that the game was delayed because someone's feelings were hurt. Im a christian and i respect everyone else's beliefs, but when someone else tries to force their ideals into my videogame and make me wait for them to quit whining about it i get po'd.
What if the catholic church didnt like the level in Drakes fortune where there is a gunfight in the chapel? Would sony and naughtydog pull the game and change it? I bet not. Sony and Insomniac put up a fight when the church of england questioned the level in Resistance, even though the game was trying to be historically accurate (as much as possible given the circumstances, lol). But now the BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR is ready to go and a few people want to whine about a song that has been on the market for a long time already. If you dont like the song, press the little mute button on your tv remote. The people who are offended by this song are by far in the minority, but everyone has to pay because someone threw a fit because they couldnt get their way. Its frustrating to see Sony/Mm stand up for these guys when the 90% who wouldnt be offended just want to play the game we've all been waiting for.
We should have an option. If the game offends you, wait until the 27th to buy a copy. If you are smart enough to realize that its just a song in a game you should be able to buy the original pressed disc tomorrow. That way everyone goes home happy.
