Midnight Club: Los Angeles Released

After a long and anticipated wait, Rockstar's follow-up to Midnight Club: Dub Edition and also the series' first next-gen entry has finally arrived to stores nationwide. By tomorrow afternoon, your favorite retailer will be carrying Midnight Club: Los Angeles for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as the PSP's MC: LA Remix. As a PlayStation 2 launch game, Midnight Club was one of the early pioneers of free-roam racing games (only pre-dated by its predecessor Midtown Madness).

"Midnight Club has always been about giving you freedom, whether racing, cruising or tuning your car. The game allows you to do what you want, when you want," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "This is the first Midnight Club to be appearing on the current generation of hardware and San Diego's hard work really shines in every aspect of the game."

With 100,000 polygons per car, 43 cars, tons of customization, a number of bikes, 16 players online, a massive audio soundtrack, and a virtual Los Angeles that has been modeled to reflect the real thing as close as possible, expect to spend quite a lot of time with Midnight Club: LA. Our own copy should be arriving shortly, so expect a review soon.

I've been waiting AGES for this game to come out and I "cannot believe" they freaking released this irritating thing with the game. they need to patch it fast before i return this game.

Players at the playstation forum are reporting this also. I'm not having any problem with mine. One person suggested changing your PS3's output to 720p instead of 1080.

Gran turismo is still the realest looking game but it doesn't offer a free roam nor does it offer the intense customization on your vehicle like what midnight club games have.

Does this new game supports the feature that allows me to play my stored music (what the 2.42 update allowed) while playing the games or the screenshot feature (what 2.50 allowes)?

Yes, you can play your music. Don't know about the screenshot feature. Probably not.

Figured what the hell was wrong. There's bunch of bugs and glitches in this game now. If you run this game on 1080i then you'll see what I'm talking about. I had to turn it down to 720p. I need to get me a 1080p for WKC and FF XIII next year ... time is ticking.

Midnight Club L.A. hasn't even come out yet (at least in TN where I live). How are you discovering the glitches AceTatsugin?

Well, actually let me correct Ace. The game had a small glitch to where when you put it on 1080i it would show a small stretched line of... random green things on the bottom right hand side. Fixed that problem, now I noticed very little bugs but nothing that would catch you're eye.

And MidnightClub LA comes out on the 21st (Today) I dont know where you live, but it came out approximatly 11:59 AM Tuesday morning. ;)

About time. I've been dying for this game to come out. But "waiting" seems to be the order of the day this gen.

I just discovered the glitch too. I hope a patch comes out on the PS store to fix the flickering on the bottom-right.
