Rumor: Resistance 2 Beta Opening Up To The Public Today
Resistance 2Well, it kinda defeats the purpose of scrambling about to land a spot in a closed beta, but we believe in equal opportunities for all gamers.
According to IGN, we've just heard that starting today, Insomniac and Sony Computer Entertainment will make the Resistance 2 beta open to all PlayStation 3 owners who have access to the Network. It's currently closed, but perhaps only for a few more hours. When the time is right, head on over to MyResistance.net and apply for a spot, which should be granted with no questions asked. We've been playing the beta for the past week or so and we're quite happy with what we see; we believe you will be, too; this is some serious multiplayer fun! This information kinda came out of the blue so we don't have any concrete time details, but we're relatively certain the closed door opens at some point today. You'll be able to check out both the Competitive and Cooperative modes, get a taste of the insanity of a 60-player battle (currently only available on the Orick map), and try out different modes like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Skirmish.
Once it does open, perhaps you want to go into the forums and arrange some matches between PSXE members. The original title was a favorite of ours and we'll all play the sequel quite a bit as well (provided we can find the time). Therefore, don't be surprised if me or Arnold shows up in one of your matches... We look forward to seeing you there. :) We'll let you know if we can get an official confirmation.

and also, the application form, is the exact same one that has been up for weeks. i swear ive filled it out for both my PSN accounts about 5 times each.

Also on a side note i have a rumour for you guys! There are more killzone 2 beta invites going out on monday.
This is called "phase 3" It was a confirmed rumour on the playstation boards by a staff member. Fingers crossed!

otherwise there would be no application process.
in other words, you apply for the beta.
then if you get in (which aparently you are guaranteed to) then they give you a key, then you go to "Redeem Code" on the XMB and once youve entered it correctly, it sends you to the download client.
