GTTV: Two Big Announcements, One Will "Rock The Internet"

Apparently, GameTrailers TV is on the verge of breaking off two big announcements this week, and one of them "will have everyone talking."

The first exclusive unveiling that "will rock the Internet" has to do with a new game mode for the upcoming Call of Duty: World at War, which is being played in the teaser video over at Kotaku. We haven't the slightest idea what they're talking about and in all honesty, we don't see how a new game mode can "rock the Internet," but we'll take their word for it. They'll also show off the world's first preview trailer for Namco's Splatterhouse, give us a sneak peak at a "never-before-seen level" in Mirror's Edge, and the last biggie: Neil Patrick Harris is gonna be on board to make the announcement; it's a game he's lending his voice to, and that's all we know. If we remember correctly, he was one of the prominent celebrity voices in Saints Row 2, but that game is well known by now, so he must be talking about something else...

Anyway, tune in on Friday at 1 a.m. to rake in all the exclusive goodness, and hopefully, the announcements will be as huge as they claim. If not, well, you can at least take solace in the fact that watching a show about video games is the second-best option to actually playing them. We think.

I hope this is true... but i doubt it. They should have some info or reveal something thats gonna get a lot of people excited. But something to "rock the internet" like I said I doubt it.

I love it when companies make statements and they turn out to be nothing huge.

Probably some BS like everyone will get in the COD5 beta next week or somet BS.

Neil Patrick Harris is the new voice of Duke Nukem. That's my guess.

Everyone says their announcement will be shocking or huge these days, and then its something like a free sticker with every purchase. I say blah.

The only thing that will "rock the internet" I can think of will be on-line games with 200 players at the same time(ala MAG). I did watch the video review on gametrailers and the multiplayer looks fantastic. Treyarch(not sure if it's spelled right) may just pull off an excellent game this time.

Probably just trying to create hype. This is somewhat reminiscent of the Square-Enix "shock announcement" fiasco.

All hype! Just watched the episode. I repeat... ALL HYPE! Seriously, other than a few cool reveals about Call Of Duty WaW -- zombie mode, level 65 multiplayer, death cards, four-player co-op, etc... -- there was hardly anything there that would "rock" the Internet. G4 TV really had the hyperbole running for this episode.

I will admit, CoD WaW is looking really nice and fun though.
