LittleBigPlanet: New Content Confirmed
LittleBigPlanet is one of the most critically acclaimed games of the new generation - despite the ongoing PSN issues - and GamePro asked associate producer Eric Fong five questions about LBP; specifically, what's next for the masterful platformer?
First of all, Media Molecule does plan to continue to release new levels, costumes and other content as time goes on. This will certainly add to the title's longevity, which is already guaranteed to increase due to user-generated levels. Secondly, GamePro wanted to know about possible changes to the gameplay; might they add another camera view option, or perhaps institute power-ups and weapons? The answer to both is basically no, as Fong reminds us that LBP is a unique title, and it's not so much about "blowing stuff up." The last point of interest in the interview is whether or not users will be able to sell their levels for real money, which is a feature that has been talked about at length in the game community. Perhaps unfortunately, Fong can only say there "are still a lot of details that need to be worked out," which means you probably won't be selling your "Nightmare Before Christmas"-themed level any time soon. ...just an idea that popped into our heads; use it if you want. ;)
Anyway, we'll keep you updated with LBP news. The first thing Sony and Media Molecule needs to sufficiently address is this PSN issue; the game has already been patched three times, and there are still significant problems. More patches coming, we're sure.

It doesn't have to be about blowing stuff up. But being able to take out meanies from a distance with a fun looking gun would be awesome.
I hope they change their minds.

I love the idea of the game continuing to expand though, that's great.
Anyone else tired of being punched and dragged around by other players...?
I've been happy with the online play these past 2 (3?) days, but tonight I couldn't load anything so it obviously still needs work.
