MGS4 Extended Ending In 6 Weeks?
Konami can't expect the fans to forget, can they?
Not long after the launch of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on June 12 of this year, the big rumor was that Konami would provide gamers with a new extended ending exactly six months after the initial release. Now, as we move on into November, the fans realize that the 6-month span will be up in 6 weeks, and the rumor has returned. We don't wish to spoil the ending if you haven't yet finished MGS4 (and if so, shame on you), but let's just say there's a reason behind the 6-month idea, and why an extended ending would make a great deal of sense. Currently, the popular theory is that Konami will release a patch containing this new ending on December 12, which - we assume - you would download and simply watch if you've already beaten the game. Of course, Konami remains tight-lipped on the situation, which is only going to add fuel to the fire.
So the question is, do you think this extended ending is on the way, or does Konami have something else up their sleeves? Or, and this is just as possible, everyone is reading too much into that ending and hoping for more MGS4 goodness before 2008 is out. For our part, we'll just be interested in whatever Kojima decides to do next. Plain and simple.
