Legendary To Launch This Week
Although it slipped from the last launch date of September 30, we haven't been able to determine a new and concrete release date until now. According to GameSpot, Gamecock Media Group, fresh from being acquired by SouthPeak Interactive, has announced the new release dates for Legendary.
Originally revealed as Legendary: The Box, this atmospheric shooter is now scheduled to release on November 4 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC version launches a couple weeks later on November 18, and we're fervently hoping this one lives up to expectations, despite the stiff competition. You'll be facing a mythological set of enemies in an "alternate-present setting," and you're gonna have to think quick and fire fast. From what we've seen so far, Legendary has a ton of promise, but unfortunately, it has to do battle with the guaranteed blockbuster known as Resistance 2, which is set to launch on the very same day. In our opinion, it would've been better to either hit that September 30 date, or delay it into the first week of December, or something. Throwing down with R2 is a tough proposition, especially when Gears of War 2 follows only three days later. November isn't quite as stacked as October was, but the first two weeks ought to be very impressive.
Keep it here for our Legendary review, and if Spark Unlimited did their job correctly, you may have to add yet another title to that already-loaded holiday wish list.
