Bioshock PS3 Exclusive DLC Available On November 20

The PlayStation 3 version of Bioshock featured all current add-on content from the Xbox 360 and PC versions, plus a few new goodies for owners of Sony's next-gen console. Now, the first batch of exclusive content has been revealed!

According to TheHDRoom, 2K Games has announced that the following add-ons will become available for download on November 20 and retail for $9.99 in North America. There was no mention of Europe in the release information, although we'll keep you updated on that situation. The add-on content in question consists of three different Challenge Rooms:

A Shocking Turn of Events- A Little Sister is trapped atop a Ferris wheel in an undisclosed location in Rapture. Using only the tools and environment around them, players must use their wits to create electricity to power the Ferris wheel and bring the Little Sister to safety.

The I in Team- Using limited resources, and an even more limited arsenal, players must negotiate traps and find a way to defeat a Big Daddy using their wits instead of raw firepower.

Worlds of Hurt- Step up and take on the most grueling challenge offered in the world of Rapture. Players must battle through eight rooms of Big Daddies, Splicers and the worst that Rapture has to offer. Accumulate Adam, build an arsenal of Plasmids, Tonics and Weaponry, and fight through to rescue the Little Sister.

So in a couple weeks time, log on to the PlayStation Store and pick these up; they're designed specifically for big fans of the game. But none of this is for the faint of heart, so we suggest you at least beat Bioshock before attempting these Challenges. Remember, as far as we know, this content will not be available for the 360 or PC versions...although we hear the whispers of Sony's words; "nothing is exclusive forever."

I thought the exclusive content would be included with the game. When I found out it was a DLC at 10 bux (!) well I wasn't too happy. I thought the whole exclusive content was to say "sorry it took a year to give you this game." Now they want 10 bux for it?? Get lost!

PS - "nothing is exclusive forever" is bs.

You all clearly don't know what you bought. All the DLC they put in the PS3 version is already on 360 or PC. This is PS3 exclusive DLC, and it's not gonna be on PC or 360.

It's the 10 dollar PS3 exclusive DLC I'm talking about. It's not worth it. And I never said I bought the game. If I ever buy Bioshock for the PS3 it'll be when it's in the 20 dollar bargain bin. Not sooner.

"hear the whisper of these words" indeed. I think I'll give it a year and see if it pops up on the console I already own bioshock for, if that's ok.

But it sounds like some puzzle gaming and a SmashTV mode, and I love me some puzzles and SmashTV -- it was my fist XLA game and I still play it.

I wish that they would release Bioshock 2 on PS3 at the same time as they will for xbox 360 (which is coming very soon!)

"SmashTV" That was the best game on PS1 FINAL! Me and my mate used to play that game for hours and hours and hours.

There is no chance in hell I would pay $10 for that. I also thought this was going to be included in the game.

As good as Bioshock is, IT'S a year old, and there are too many quality games out for me to want to pay full price for an old game, and on top of that pay $10 for something like this? Nope.

If it woulda came out on a slower season, then I woulda have bought it. But there is just no way I'm gonna play it before LBP, R2, and Fallout 3.

Okay I have been pretty positive about Bioshock releasing a year later and the fact that it is still priced at 60 bucks with nothing really new, but I agree with Alienage, this DLC is rediculous! 10 bucks?? Wtf... if it wasn't so easy to buy stuff on the store I would definitely not buy the dlc but ugh... lol.

I've heard rumors bioshock eats the player's soul and forces them to play it day and night, slowly ignoring all else in the outside world...

i'm just not ready for that kind of a commitment. I like my games to be controlled by ME ^_^
