Red Alert 3 Back On Track For PS3
Strategy fans, we have some good news for you: EA has confirmed with Videogamer.com that Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, previously "on hold" for the PlayStation 3, is now back on track.
Apparently, EA is promising to do "some really cool things" with the Blu-Ray capacity of the machine, and the game will most likely support the full 1080p high-definition resolution. One of the original pioneers of the strategy genre, C&C has been absent for over seven years time, and those who want to once again revel in strategy goodness can pick up the Xbox 360 or PC version on November 14. PS3 owners have to wait a bit longer, but EA producer Amer Ajami said - like so many developers have said - that the PS3 is a tough console to work with. C&C TV presenter David Silverman elaborated further:
"When we announced Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 we announced there was a PS3 version, then we decided to go on the record and say that we've suspended it to make sure that RA3 was able to come out to the level of quality that it must adhere to to be called a C&C game. We've hit that mark, we've shipped the game. And you know what that means? That means there's another version left to be had. So there's definitely people working on a PS3 version and we'll be talking more about that later."
We still don't have a release date, but provided PS3 owners are patient, Silverman says we should be most satisfied with the result. Well, with developers running into issues on the machine so often in the past, patience has become a part of the PS3 owner's lifestyle. And if everything goes well, we should get the best version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, and we can't say that's a bad thing. Added Silverman:
"If you're a PS3 owner and you don't own a PC and you don't have an Xbox 360 you don't have to write on your Christmas or Hanukkah list that you want to have an Xbox. You can play Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, bide your time and you'll be very pleased. We're looking at doing some really cool things with the PS3 version. Since it is shipping later we're putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space."

Well there is no C&C game that I haven't enjoyed anyway, except for emperor - battle for dune game.
But by far, the red alert series are always the best strategy games available.
Red Alert 1 was the first game that I have played after I got my windows 95. It is the game that made a games addict. :P

Please for the love of god but an option to allow mouse and keyboard controls via PS3 in this game. It is by far the best way to play an RTS of this kind. It's been proven that this is a viable way of controlling PS3 games by Unreal Tournament 3. The PS3 has the ability to work with virtually any USB keyboard and mouse, please take advantage of that.
