Rock Band 2 Bonus Songs This Week
When you brought home your new copy - perhaps housed in that massive box - of Rock Band 2, we're hoping you weren't too dismissive when putting aside the manual. Yeah, we know real men don't use instructions but there was a little something on the back of the manual that you'll most certainly want...
It's a redemption code, and all you have to do is send it away with your e-mail address and Harmonix will forward over a download code for free extra content. That's right, doing this will net you 20 extra songs for the game, which is a definite bonus. According to Joystiq, "the codes will be rolled out over a period of 24 hours," and if you picked up the PlayStation 3 version and mailed in your redemption code, you should see your e-mail "later in the week." If you're one of those impatient types, perhaps you were expecting your download code earlier, but don't you worry. You're not the only one who mailed that thing in, and Harmonix has to organize a bit before shipping out the download codes. Besides, given the size of the existing soundtrack in the game, we can't imagine you've already mastered every last track in there. And if you think you have, we suggest upping the difficulty level to something a tad more challenging. This isn't one of those games that can be easily conquered.
So anyway, if you've already mailed it in, start looking for your e-mail in a few days time. If you just ripped open the box, grabbed your favorite instrument, threw the game in...and threw the manual in the trash, then we can only have a good-hearted chuckle at your expense.

WTF? Harmonix just lost one person who's now going to get GH instead.
