Killzone 2 Open Beta Starting, Are U.S. Gamers Involved?
Killzone 2Many have been awaiting news of the impending public beta for Killzone 2, but we have yet to hear about an official announcement from developer Guerilla.
However, it seems they're preparing to make the move from closed to public testing due to tips we've received from readers and an e-mail that's making the rounds on the Internet. The e-mail was sent to those involved in the closed beta and simply tells them to move forward into the open beta. Here it is, courtesy of European gaming site, PS3 Sense:
"Dear Killzone®2 Closed Beta Test participant,
Firstly we would like to thank you for your previous participation in this beta. The support and feedback you provided is always much appreciated.
We are now excited to announce that we're entering the public beta for Killzone 2. As a previous participant within the closed beta we're happy to confirm your place for this next phase. To get set-up all you have to is follow the instructions below."
But as Guerilla is a European developer and this e-mail is on a Euro site, we can't assume this applies to the North American region as well. We're certainly hoping gamers in the U.S. won't be left out of the public beta for too much longer, but there's no way of knowing until we see something official. If you're in the U.S and have received a beta update/invite e-mail, please feel free to tell us about it. If not, well...Resistance 2 is here, and that kicks plenty of ass, so don't complain. ;)

1. Only the European codes have gone out.
2. Not even all the European codes have gone out.
3. Even if they have, that does not mean the beta is closed for them from that point on.
4. Who are the 24/7 guys? You've been on this forum a week.

open Beta means you pretty much got to be part of the offical site I think (member), I could be wrong... but thats what I figured because the official site is now linked to the PSN via id sign in.

I just want to experience the realism of the atmosphere in those epic looking battles (against NPCs). I doubt it will be any better than what is already out there.
