Valkyria Chronicles On Sale At Amazon

As the holiday season is now officially upon us - these days, it starts the day after Halloween - we keep trying to sniff out deals for the savvy consumer.

And now thanks to a tip by GamingFront, we have one for you- it's Valkyria Chronicles suddenly (and very mysteriously) on sale at Amazon.com for $49.99 rather than the standard $59.99. You can check out the freshly launched strategy/RPG listing and then decide if you want to make a purchase, and then, we suggest looking around some more. Maybe Amazon is running deals on other brand new games, or perhaps they've got a few accessories priced lower than normal. Most people are more interested in the blockbusters like Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2, but we know for a fact that there are plenty of gamers out there who would rather give Valkyria Chronicles a try. Not only is it perfectly suited for those who love the genre, but the game has also been dragging down some impressive review scores. This is mere vindication for the fans who were probably gonna pick it up anyway, but if you were on the fence, it's time to plunk down the cash.

If you do it with Amazon, you can save ten bucks, too. Feel free to let us know if you find any other discounted new games at the site, or if - in your early holiday shopping travels - you encounter other sales in brick-and-mortar stores. We want to hear about theme!

Amazon is always cheapier man. Most of their brand new games are 4-5 dollars cheapier. But 10 is new to me!

The demo is not interesting as any demo out there. The game ITSELF is freaking amazing.

So they dropped the price because its not selling well or because they felt like it?

I hope you are right Ace, I wouldn't mind a new RPG. I'll be waiting for the review to decide.

I maxed my game budget after Resistance 2. But I was impressed with the demo and all the reviews for this game has been 9+ out of 10. Who knew? lol. I'll cop this game next week.

Thanks for the information Ben. But I actually saved almost $20 dollars on my order. What I did was added Valkyria Chronicles to my cart and then I added Tabula Rasa to my cart which came up to a total of $50.95. Since my order is now over $50 I then proceeded to check out. On the payment screen I selected the Bill Me Later option. Next I selected my preferred shipping method was FREE Super Saver Shipping and went to the next screen. Finally I entered the promo code BMLSAVES and it took another $10 off. My total ended up being $40.95. Main thing you need to do is select a second item sold by the Amazon.com store so your total exceeds $50 in order to get the extra $10 discount. I hope this information helps some people out who is still on the fence on getting this awesome game.

Just to add to my post last night I have two more suggestions that can save you even more money on the game, however neither of them I would really recommend especially the first one.

1) Steal it

2) Sign up for the Amazon.com Rewards Visa® Card INSTANTLY and Get $30 Back on your first purchase. By combining the method that I listed in my last post you can get the game for $10.95.

I am just throwing out ways save the most money possible. But seriously don't do the first suggestion because that can cost you a lot more the game ever would be worth. Plus it is wrong.

The demo was pretty cool. Alas, as much as I want to support SEGA(I loved my Saturn and Dreamcast) this game has to wait. There's just too many damn games to get this Holiday.

Wow Circuit City is really going down hill. Either their already sold out (which would not be a surprise since every time I went to their store on to purchase a sale item they would always be sold out) or they don't have the game added to the website yet. Funny thing is with most websites they would keep the product on their website and show it is out of stock or sold out. Whoever stated in a previous article that Circuit City is inferior in every single aspect to Best Buy I can agree with. Their Price Match Plus would be great if they ever had any sale on in stock. I'm not going to go into what business practices I believe my local store is practicing but I don't like my local Circuit City very much at all.

To any who are skeptical about Valkyria Chronicles (I'm looking at YOU, Zaben): YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

I've been playing this game addictively all weekend, and it is definitely in the running for Best PS3 Game I Have Played So Far. And I have played ALOT of PS3 games.
