Paradise Legendary Car Pack Goes Back To The Future

As you look at this picture, we guarantee you're going to say exactly what we said, word for word: "shut the hell up!"

Oh, but it's true. The car that Doc Brown turned into a time machine in the classic movie, the one that ran out of Plutonium at just the wrong time, the one that hovers at the very end and flies off into another adventure...is coming to Burnout Paradise. They obviously didn't get the license to call it what it is, so they're naming it the Jansen 88 Special. HA! Get it? You'll be able "fill the gauge and hit boost to trigger burning flame trails from your back wheels." But it doesn't end there. If you wanna fly, you can fly: as Criterion says on their official site- "Hit L3 to switch to hover mode the wheels retract and the car takes off and hovers through Paradise City at head height. Seriously. It hovers." Okay, guys, pick up the marbles; you win. You've just created the single best piece of downloadable content for a game ever. And if they have their way, they're going to keep issuing more DLC for Paradise; they're really treating the gamers well.

The other three cars coming in this Legendary Cars Pack are the Cavalry Bootlegger, the Manhattan Spirit and the GT Nighthawk. We're awaiting pictures and details on these, but we know you can look for this new Pack some time early next year.

It's a shame they didn't get full licensing. A like for like replica of the Delorean would have been a-mazing! Still this is close enough to be a regular amazing...amazing

I think the only way I wouldn't buy this is if they overpriced it to the extent Mm's "First Week" Sackboy shirt was insanely done!

Interesting, but I don't like small transactions. I'm never gonna pay extra money for small bonus contents, especially if you already beat the game...jus my opinion.

Never say never, this is going to be the future of gaming. Warhawk has done well with it's expansion packs. It's a way to get more playability out of the initial game. Although the Burnout expansions haven't been charging anything yet. I'm just worried that gaming companies will start charging 60 bucks for a poorly done release game with a decent foundation, then Charge extra to keep adding on to the gaem to get what should have been released in the first place.

Why doesnt EA use the rights to the cars they have in Burnout? I mean they have them for the NFS series dont they??As for the DeLorean pretty cool car!!

Well I heard about this story from another site before I read it here, and from what I gathered it will be charged. But it's likely that if you buy all 4 cars as a bundled pack you get a discount.

WAHOO. but online will just be a mode of loads of hoverers. but hey, races will be sh*t easy now, just go over all the cars. and avoid buses and lorries. oh yeah. but how will drifting be?

Funny, was just watching Back to the Future when I first read this news. In fact, saw the article the exact moment the car was introduced in the movie. Anyway as long as the car's not too broken it should be fun. Might have to pick up the game now.
