New LBP Costumes On PSN Tomorrow

This is going to be a common occurrence, simply because Sony and Media Molecule want to make LittleBigPlanet as huge as possible for an extended period of time. Store updates with new content are to be expected, and we'll get a bunch of new stuff this week.

As just announced over at the LittleBigWorkshop, there will be a bunch of new SackBoy costumes for download tomorrow, and they range from free to $2.99. The free costume is courtesy of the SCEE LBP costume design contest winner, and we'll toss out a congrats of our own for that accomplishment. The same contest took place in North America and Japan, and they will show us the winners in due time, but for now, here's the list of downloadable costumes for Thursday:

  • Sack-Eating Plant (FREE)
  • Lilly Pad ($.99)
  • Hugo ($.99)
  • Great Blue ($.99)
  • Frost-E ($.99)
  • Animals Costumes Pack ($2.99)
  • MotorStormer ($1.99)

Yep, this week's Premium costume celebrates MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, the exclusive off-road racer that has already raked in plenty of high critical praise. And SackBoy in that costume really does look like a Lunatic! For all the colorful new costumes, head on over to the LittleBigWorkshop and feast your eyes. Cool stuff.

Isn't the Motorstorm one already available on the PS Store ? I'm sure I seen it on the European store unless I was mistaken lol.
Anything for LBP is cool anyway.

On a slightly different note, talking about downloading things from the shop I checked my gig space on the PS3 last night and was shocked to find im on 15 left out of my 60 gig (well it said 55 but I know thats probably 5 gigs of Operating Software stuff). Has anyone else noticed their lack of space ? Or am I just panicking and can see a time when im gonna be deleting games off the hard drive so I can fit more newer stuff on ?

we have to pay more money? They could have held back some of the in-game costumes and put this on pay to download. I want costumes but paying for them is not what I would like. I'll buy Rockband songs because I certainly understand licensing to the bands and production companies but wow, for costumes? jee

Can anyone tell me what happened to the first week shirts? Were they even available in the US?

And the prices for costumes is way too high. They should really just bundle all those costumes and sell that for $1.99 or something.
For the people that want to have every single costume for the sake of being the biggest LBP fan, that's gonna be hard for them.

They are going to make a killing off of those costumes, and I don't like it one bit.

If you don't like the prices, don't buy.
About the first week shirt, I have heard nothing :/
The Motorstorm one is awesome looking but I am not a huge fan of Motorstorm so I'll pass on it...

the game is addictive.
A friend went to gamestop to buy LBP n they told him they're ou.He tries the next day and this guy who wasn't there the day before tells my friend that it probably isnt out yet.

Here Here LightShow... I would not want to purchase costumes though; I feel this is eating cash and would rather add it to the cash I have to buy a few AAA titles in the coming year... my main 3 purchases I have ear marked are CoDV, KillZone 2 (the Beta is unbelievable) and God Of War III... that will do me for the next 6 months... I will keep my eye out for the new CodeMasters formula one game... but if it is anything like Grid, they can keep it...

@zaben - I understand that, doesn't mean I can't complain about it. I did pre-order the game, and I would like to have the content. But it's ridiculous what they are asking for the costumes.

I was a little peeved about the cost of the week one T-Shirt. They could have given codes away for the first week for free. I'll only buy the free or really cheap (sub £1) costumes because if they keep this up the game will actually end up costing double the retail price.

i can deal with $1 for a really cool shark head, but it's gotta be something kickass like Sephiroth to get me to spend more, and even then it might not be worth it.
