Criterion Miniaturizing Vehicles For Burnout Paradise DLC
Either Criterion is just plain obsessed with Burnout Paradise, or they just love handing out more ways of keeping the stellar arcade-style racer relevant.
We just learned about the Legendary Car Pack heading our way early next year, and now, another piece of downloadable content will drop in the spring. It's the Special Edition Burnout Collectibles Toy Cars pack, which will feature miniaturized versions of 9 different vehicles, including the Kreiger Racing WTR, Carson GT Concept, Hunter Takedown 4x4 and more. Unlike the previously announced Party pack - also slated for early 2009 - this Matchbox-like pack will be free to download for all you Burnout fans. Maybe this will be the start of a trend: every few months, Criterion shrinks down a few more vehicles, and the goal will be to - if you recall your Saturday morning commercials for Micro Machines - "collect them all!" At this rate, Criterion will have a whole new planet to explore in Paradise by this time next year; the downloadable content shows no signs of slowing. They've already produced 11 pieces...and more are coming.
So if you have any remaining qualms about picking up one of 2008's best titles, the horde of DLC might finally entice you. Remember, you can pick up the full version of the game at the PlayStation Store for only $29.99, and that's one heck of a deal.

erm.. im not sure that sounded right.. er
Anyway, theres also planes to come! I really dont mind paying for some of this DLC, the back to the future car is meant to be paid DLC, so I do wonder if this is the end of the free stuff. I have to say, I really dont mind. Ive brought some utter crap off the psn, so for stuff that I would like, I dont mind paying for.
Maybe Burnout: Mirror's Edge paradise? lol. or Battlefield: Burnout?
or maybe they wanted GTA for.. Burnout: GTA Paradise?
