GameStop Black Friday: Mini Deals
For the most part, GameStop doesn't really do "sales." Every Black Friday, it's generally a waste of time to search for bargains down at your local game store, but this year, it seems GameStop has a few interesting possibilities.
If you check the official Black Friday sales site - which should come in very handy for all you die-hard shoppers out there - there's a big ol' list of GameStop deals. However, as you scan the list, you'll notice that not everything is a bargain; in fact, some are just normally listed, like Far Cry 2 for $59.99. ...yeah, that's not a sale. Even so, it seems that many items on the list have been discounted by $10 or so, and that includes the likes of the Game of the Year Edition of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the PS3 for $39.99, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for only $29.99, Left 4 Dead for the 360 for $49.99 (brand new game, too), NBA 2K9 for the PS3 for $49.99, and the "buy 2, get 1 free" pre-owned deal. The latter may be there all the time, but last we checked, our GameStop didn't subscribe to that...maybe some do and some don't, or maybe it's just a Black Friday thing, as listed.
Of course, even if a lot of those items on the list are normally priced, at least it can still help you with your holiday wish list. With all the top-notch 2008 releases, we seriously doubt you've played everything worth playing already, so scan away. And hey, maybe your GameStop will do something special on the big day; you might want to check it out.
