Resident Evil 5 Updates: Co-Op, Sunlight, And Graphics
Although EA's Dead Space has certainly set the bar this year for the survival/horror genre (and we hear Left 4 Dead is excellent as well), everyone expects Capcom to blow us all away with Resident Evil 5. And thanks to a new hands-on preview by GamingIndians.com, we now have more crucial details for all you anticipatory gamers out there.
The first major piece of information, which you may have already heard, is the inclusion of cooperative play. For the very first time in the franchise's history, you and a friend will be able to go through the single-player campaign, and this can be done online or via split-screen or system link. Character #2 is Sheva, and if a human isn't controlling her, the AI will take the reigns. Thankfully, the previews says this AI is quite effective and appreciated, as she can both heal and fight. The second point of interest focuses on a significant change: most fans of the series understand they'll never see sunlight when playing an RE title, but as some media has already shown, that changes in RE5. Kinda like some famous zombie movies in the past, there will be plenty of fighting in the out-of-doors with the brilliant sunlight beating down. We believe this may actually ramp up the freak-factor, just because when everything is out in the open, it seems more...real. That's just our opinion, though.
Lastly, as Capcom has said before, we hear once again that both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game should appear visually identical to one another. Despite a few marked frame rate and other technical issues, the preview sounds quite promising, and we can't wait to get our hands on this one next year.

And I also heard L4D is pretty awesome although I heard it can get repetitive very quickly as well. Looking forward to it tho when it drops in price... however, I might just rent it, idk yet.
