Prince Of Persia Complete, Scheduled To Release Next Week
It's one of the last promising titles of 2008, and provided Ubisoft has done their job, it could easily be one of this generation's best.
According to GameSpot, Ubisoft has wrapped up development on Prince of Persia, and it's now set to arrive at retail stores on December 2 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. This appears to be one week early based on the latest date of December 9, but the date is no longer important; the game is done, and we can't wait to check it out. Remember, although you may be a huge fan of the last-generation PoPs, this will be a very different animal. It will focus more on faster action and the battles switch to one-on-one boss-like encounters, with your pretty pal, Elika, tailing - and hopefully helping - you at every turn. Ubisoft also says they have plans for future downloadable content that will actually give players "a new experience" rather than just a few add-ons like new costumes and equipment. Obviously, this is good news, because this is exactly the type of game that could use extra longevity through significant DLC. But above all else, we hope the designers got this one right; our expectations really are quite high...
We've already had so many amazing titles in 2008, but would anyone really complain if we got another one for the holidays? We know we wouldn't.
